Cmdexa · Windows + ChatGPT
Organize a Windows folder with ChatGPT and a plan you approve
Use this when a work folder contains mixed files and you want help deciding where they belong. Inspect and plan first; moving files needs Read and run access.
First request: preview only
Use Cmdexa to inspect only C:\Work\ToSort on my online Windows PC. Propose subfolders for PDFs, spreadsheets and images. Show a table with each current path and proposed destination. Do not create folders, move, rename, overwrite or delete anything. Stop after the plan.
Replace the example path with your own folder. The plan should list actual files and flag ambiguous names and destination conflicts. Review it before requesting any change.
Second request: approve a specific plan
I approve the move plan shown above for C:\Work\ToSort. Recheck that the files and destinations still match the plan. Create the listed subfolders and move only the listed files. Skip conflicts; do not overwrite or delete files. Stop on unexpected changes and report what actually completed.
Enable Read and run only when you want changes. Cmdexa's permissions and safety policy decide whether each command runs, needs local Windows approval or is blocked. Chat approval does not bypass a required local approval. If interrupted, inspect the existing task result before repeating a move.
What should happen
You see the preview before changes and an actual outcome afterwards: completed, skipped and failed moves. This is an illustrative workflow, not a claim that Cmdexa has already organized any folder.
